Church Campus
On January 1, 1982, the switch was pulled and the Cathedral
of Faith became the home of The Religious Channel; In 1984, the 45,000
sq. foot Learning Center was completed and dedicated to provide a healthy
environment for the study of God's Word by men, women and children.
Eventually the Learning Center also became the home of My
School, a
Christian preschool which opened on June 4, 1990.
The growing
and desperately needed ministry work of Reaching Out led to the construction
and dedication of the 16,000 square foot Reaching Out Center. On December
19, 1993 dignitaries including Congressman Norman Mineta, State Senator
Alfred Alquist, City Councilman George Shirakawa and the Chief of Police
Lou Cobarruviaz joined the thousands who gathered for this historic
occasion. March of 2007 we dedicated the building to our senior pastor
and rename it to Pastor Kenny Foreman Reaching
Out Center.
Another addition to the Cathedral campus is the Family
Life Center,
dedicated in August of 1998. This building is changing lives and building
friendships and families! Programs include a first class gymnasium,
a cutting edge Fitness Center with BodyMasters strength equipment, Quinton
treadmills, free weights and dumbbells and much more; a spacious game
and lounge area with pool tables, video games, ping pong, air hockey,
foosball, etc...
Entering into the new Millennium, the concept of a Prayer
Center was
developed, and on May 26, 2002, it was complete. The Prayer Center is
a place dedicated solely for prayer; and was designed to resemble the
Garden of Gethsemane located at the Mount of Olives.
The final building of the Cathedral Campus, Horton
Youth Center, broke
ground in the summer of 2002—the second phase of the Family Life Center.
This 20,000 square foot facility was dedicated
on October 12, 2003, and the building was named after Jack and Nancy
Horton, longtime congregation members who gave tremendously of their
time, finances and love to see the Church flourish. The very next day,
after the Horton Youth Center was dedicated, the Church held a ribbon-cutting
ceremony for Noah’s Park, the newly renovated,
state of the art 18,240 square foot playground. Features include water
activities, sand play, swings, tricycle path, play structures, and a
climbing rock.
