What are Life Groups?
Life groups at Cathedral of Faith are about people doing life together and helping each other grow in their faith. In a life group, you can take a break from the busy demands of everyday life and invest in what is really important – your relationship with God and the people around you.
Why join a Life Group?
Life Groups are great places to connect and to grow. Their purpose is to be a place where people: sense that they belong, grow spiritually, learn to serve, discover their gifts and God’s dream for their life.
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,
according to His power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20)
What Kinds of Life Groups are there at Cathedral?
Journaling Groups: 2–10 people who meet to read the Bible together, write in their Journals and share their devotions with the group.
Click here for more info on Journaling.
Traditional Bible Study Groups: Groups of 3–20 people who meet in a home or a variety of public places. These groups have prayer, fellowship and Bible Study. They may use DVD curriculum or books on Spiritual Growth.
Ministry Groups: Groups of people who do ministry together like worship or feeding the homeless can also meet together for times of prayer, sharing and/or bible study.
Activity Groups: Any group that has a common affinity and passion like sports or hobbies. We ask these groups to include prayer and sharing devotions because most of their time is focused on activities.
Have you ever considered leading or hosting a LifeGroup? If you love God and love people, you could be a great LifeGroup leader, or perhaps your gift is hospitality, so you may want to provide a host home for a group to meet, Or coordinate social meeting at the park, coffee shop or even lunch breaks at you work.
