The purpose of dedication is to allow Christian parents to make a formal commitment before family, congregation, and God that they choose to
raise their children in a Christian home.
We dedicate children one Sunday (usually the 3rd Sunday) each month.
The requirements to dedicate your child are:
1. The child is under the age of 6
2. You are a Christian parent
3. You have attended a Baby Dedication Class
We typically do not have Baby Dedication in the month of Easter, July, or December
How do I make arrangements to dedicate my child?
Call 408-979-3064 to check the upcoming Baby Dedication Dates and sign up for the Dedication Class (first Wednesday of the dedication month you choose at 7:15-9pm). You can also sign up online by clicking here. If you have never signed up online for an activity before you will need to register first.
*If you have dedicated another child and have attended the dedication class within the last 2 years, you should not have to attend the class again. Please verify this when you sign up and then fill out and email this form to firstname.lastname@example.org
Who do we dedicate?
Children-Birth through 5 years old
How much does it cost to dedicate a child?
We do require a $30 non-refundable contribution when you sign up to hold your spot for the dedication month you sign up for. This includes: a dedication DVD, a children’s Bible, a special photo of your child taken during his/her dedication, and a parenting message on CD from Pastor Ken. The $30 covers the first child; each additional sibling is $10 there after. If you decide to change your dedication date less than 6 weeks before the dedication, you will have to re-sign up, which would require a new contribution.
Why don’t we baptize?
We believe baptism is a choice to follow Jesus and must be made by the person being baptized. Very young children do not yet make life choices.
Why dedicate a child?
It is an opportunity for Christian parents to bring their young children
before God and commit themselves to providing a Christian home and
training for these children so that when they are mature enough to make decisions they will choose God and salvation through Jesus. It is actually a parents’ commitment to God, understanding their responsibility to their children before God.
How do you dedicate?
The process of dedication consists of parents (usually a group of 12)
bringing their babies before family and friends to commit the child as
Christian parents to the Lord. Our pastor prays over each child
individually and then those attending the dedication join in prayer with
When do we dedicate children?
We dedicate children once a month after the 11:45 a.m. service in the Chapel.
Do we have to appoint God Parents?
Although we do not require God Parents, if you choose to have them
you may have up to two sets God Parents standing on the stage with you.
