About Us / History

We here at COF adopted the program in 2006 as part of the Recovery Ministry. What is Life Hurts God Heals (LHGH)? It is an 8-step recovery program that is specifically for middle school through high school students.  The program principles are based on the beatitudes from the Bible. The student friendly curriculum provides lifelong tools for students who are dealing with unresolved hurt and pain including: troubled family dynamics such as divorce, blended family absent parent(s), behavioral issues, addictions; drinking, drugs, cutting, and eating disorders, etc.
