Deborah lived in a time when women were often overlooked, dismissed, and held back. Yet God chose her to lead His people. She was a prophet, a judge, and a courageous voice in a fearful generation. Her story reminds us that God does not see people the way the world often sees them.

Sometimes others place limits on us. Sometimes life experiences cause us to walk with our heads down. Sometimes we begin to believe the labels spoken over us—too young, too old, not qualified, not strong enough, not spiritual enough, not the right background.

But the Gospel raises the ceiling.

You are made in the image of God. You are loved by God. You are called by God. You are not disqualified by what others have said about you. God has a way of raising up people that the world has tried to keep down.

Today, take a moment to think about how you see yourself. Are you walking hunched over because of old limits, old wounds, or old lies? God may be inviting you to stand tall again—not in pride, but in confidence as His child.

There is a hero on the inside of you, and God is calling that hero out.
