Called to Serve
SCRIPTURE:
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45 (NIV)
Jesus completely changed the definition of greatness. While the world often celebrates status, achievement, and recognition, Jesus showed that true greatness is found in serving others.
Think about it: the King of Kings did not come demanding attention or privilege. He cared for people, met practical needs, and ultimately gave His life for our salvation. His example reminds us that serving is not something we do occasionally. It is a way of life for every follower of Christ.
Most opportunities to serve are not dramatic. They happen in ordinary moments: encouraging a friend, helping a neighbor, listening to someone who is hurting, or meeting a need without being asked. These simple acts become powerful expressions of God's love.
Today, don't wait for a perfect opportunity. Ask God to show you one person you can serve. Small acts of obedience often create a greater impact than we realize.
When we serve others, we reflect the heart of Jesus and participate in God's purpose for our generation.

PRAYER:
Jesus, thank You for showing me what it means to serve. Help me follow Your example with humility and love. Open my eyes to the needs around me and give me a willing heart to respond. Use my life to bless others and bring glory to Your name. Amen.
