Deborah’s people had been oppressed for twenty years. Their enemy had 900 chariots, which represented power, intimidation, and military strength. From the outside, it looked impossible. Anyone could see the chariots. Anyone could point out the problem. But Deborah saw something more.

She saw that God was with His people.

Faith does not mean pretending the battle is not real. The chariots were real. The oppression was real. The fear was real. But God was more real. Deborah had a vision for a different future. She believed the next twenty years did not have to look like the last twenty years.

What are the “900 chariots” in front of you? Maybe it is anxiety. Maybe it is debt. Maybe it is an addiction, a strained relationship, a health concern, or a dream that feels impossible. It may feel like things have been this way for so long that they will always be this way.

But with God, things can change.
