Wednesday’s Devotional: Pray About It
Your Calling Matters
SCRIPTURE:
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
Have you ever wondered if your life is making a difference? Ephesians reminds us that God intentionally created each of us for a purpose. You are not an accident. Your gifts, experiences, personality, and passions were given to you by God, and He desires to use them for His Kingdom.
Sometimes we compare ourselves to others and assume our contribution is too small to matter. But God's purpose for your life is not based on someone else's calling. He has prepared good works specifically for you. The challenge is not discovering whether God has a plan, but being willing to follow it.
Prayer helps us align our hearts with God's purposes. As we spend time with Him, He reveals where He is working and how He wants us to participate. Often, the next step is simpler than we imagine. It may be serving faithfully, encouraging someone who is struggling, or saying yes to an opportunity God places before us.
God has a purpose for your life. Through prayer, He will give you the wisdom and courage to walk in it.
THINK ABOUT IT:
• What gifts or strengths has God given you?
• Where do you sense God wanting to use you right now?
• What is one area of your life you need to surrender more fully to Him?
PRAYER:
Father, thank You for creating me with purpose. Help me see myself the way You see me. Show me where You are calling me to serve and give me the courage to take the next step of faith. Use my life for Your glory and help me trust Your plan each day. In Jesus' name, Amen.
