Friday's Devotional: Share It
The Kingdom Comes First
SCRIPTURE:
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
Every day we are pulled in different directions. Work demands our attention. News headlines compete for our focus. Personal goals, responsibilities, and concerns can easily consume our thoughts. In the middle of all these competing priorities, Jesus gives a simple but powerful invitation: seek first God's Kingdom.
Seeking God's Kingdom first doesn't mean ignoring life's responsibilities. It means allowing God's values, purposes, and priorities to shape how we approach everything else. When Christ is at the center of our lives, our decisions become clearer, our perspective changes, and our actions begin to reflect His heart.
One of the most practical ways we seek God's Kingdom is by sharing what He is doing in our lives. People around us are searching for hope, purpose, and truth. When we share a testimony, offer encouragement, or tell someone about God's faithfulness, we point them toward Jesus.
This week, don't keep God's work in your life to yourself. Someone may need the hope that only Christ can provide.
THINK ABOUT IT:
• Who could benefit from hearing what God has been teaching you?
• What has God done in your life recently that you can share with someone else?
• How can you put God's Kingdom first in your conversations this week?
PRAYER:
Father, help me seek Your Kingdom above everything else. Give me opportunities to share Your love and faithfulness with those around me. Let my words and actions point people toward Jesus. Use my life to bring hope, encouragement, and truth to others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
