Saturday's Devotional: Get Ready

Preparing for God's Next Move

SCRIPTURE:
"Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law." Psalm 119:18 (NIV)

As the week comes to a close, it's important to pause and reflect on what God has been teaching us. Throughout Scripture, God often prepared people before He called them into something new. David spent years learning to trust God before becoming king. Esther was positioned before her moment of influence arrived. The disciples followed Jesus daily before being sent out to change the world.

God is still preparing His people today. Sometimes we focus so much on the next opportunity that we overlook the importance of preparation. Yet God often develops our character, deepens our faith, and teaches us dependence on Him long before we see the full picture of His plan.

As you look ahead to a new week, ask the Holy Spirit to make your heart sensitive to His leading. Be willing to listen, learn, and obey. God is always at work, and He invites us to join Him.

The best way to prepare for God's next assignment is to be faithful with today's opportunities.

THINK ABOUT IT:
• What is one lesson God has been teaching you this week?
• Where do you need greater sensitivity to the Holy Spirit?
• What step of faith is God asking you to take next?

PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for guiding me day by day. Help me recognize Your voice and follow Your leading. Prepare my heart for whatever You have ahead, and give me the faith to trust You with the next step. May I remain faithful to Your purpose and ready for Your direction. In Jesus' name, Amen.
