Thursday – Family Discussion Guide: Talk About It
Deborah’s story is a wonderful reminder for families that God can use anyone. He uses women and men, young and old, quiet people and bold people, leaders and helpers. God gives each person gifts, courage, and purpose.
One of the most powerful things a family can do is call out the good in one another. Deborah helped Barak move past fear and step into faith. In the same way, our homes can become places where courage grows. We can encourage each other, pray for each other, and remind each other of God’s promises.
Tonight, take a few minutes as a family to talk about what it means to rise up. Rising up may look different for each person. For a child, it might mean telling the truth, being kind to someone at school, or trying again after failing. For a teenager, it might mean standing firm in faith or asking for help. For an adult, it might mean leading with love, making a hard decision, or trusting God in a difficult season.
Heroes are not just found in movies. They are formed in everyday moments of faithfulness.
